AdSense Terms
AdSense has been quite successful in attracting more
website owners to join it. Yet, many AdSense regular
users still have trouble understanding how the whole
system really works. This is actually an avoidable
disadvantage for the users as there are lots of
rules and provisions in AdSense that can help them
understand the system, provided they are aware of
these.
Let's start with the basics: Adsense terms and
conditions. First on the list is getting enlisted
with AdSense. Before joining, basic requirements
should be met, specifically, that a person must be
of legal age and that he must maintain his or her
own website. It is Google which ultimately screens
and decides who can and who cannot join the program.
The second most important among the AdSense terms is
about the posting of advertisements, linking of
search engines, and using referral buttons. Even if
Google assigns the ads to website owners, they are
still allowed to choose a format on how the
advertisement will be placed in their sites.
Additionally, users who agree to utilize the search
and referral features have to customize their
websites.
The next set of Adsense terms govern the parties and
the transactions involved in the program. For
instance, there is a provision about the exclusive
correspondence of AdSense users and Google. In no
instance can users directly get in touch with the
advertisers. Also, there's the prohibition of any
third party, aside from the subscriber, to utilize
the AdSense accounts, either for themselves or for
others.
The other condition is about payment. This is made
in the form of cheques which will be sent through a
courier once an account has reached $100 in
revenues.
The last condition is regarding the termination of
the contract. Should a subscriber decide to stop the
posting of advertisements in his site, he has send
an email to Google. Ten days thereafter, the
agreement will be terminated.
